KINGS PLAZA MALL RENOVATION

The Kings Plaza Shopping Center Mall is a 1.1 million square foot enclosed urban shopping center located on the waterfront of South Brooklyn. 

Scungio Borst Construction completed the interior and exterior renovation of the Kings Plaza Mall in Brooklyn, New York  in main mall areas including entry facades on Flatbush Avenue and Avenue U, and mall entries from Garage levels. As Project Engineer, I was responsible for  coordinating the material procurement, submittal review, project documentation and close outs for the project. 

Budget: 12.5 Million

THE ATRIUM AT CURTIS CENTER

The Atrium at Curtis Center Renovation in Washington Square in Center City Philadelphia is part the revitalization of the Curtis Center to be one of the most prominent venue space in Center City west. 

The design consists of a colonnade of half-rounded Corinthians columns with bases, which supports a classical entablature running the whole perimeter of the atrium, on top of which structural steel arches with the iconic "C" are cladded in glass-fiber reinforced gypsum.

NORTHEAST TOWER CENTER DEVELOPMENT

The Northeast Tower Center Renovation Project consisted a mix of facade improvements, interior renovation and expansion, new construction and site development.

Located in Northeast Philadelphia, this shopping center is the home of many several regional and national tenants including Walmart, Home Depot, Five Below, Old Navy, DD Discount & more.

The Site development aspect of the Project included the Construction of 2 new Bio-basins for on-site storm management and new sanitary lines.

Budget: 8 million

Location: Philadelphia PA

This project consisted of the Facade Renovations of Multiple Storefront at Columbus Crossing Shopping Center at Pier 70 as well the Demolition & Fit Out of the Flagship TJmaxx HomeGoods store.

REC PHILLY

REC Philly is a 10,000 sq ft creative space located in the Fashion District Mall in Philadelphia, PA. Part creative incubator, part creative agency, REC is a physical space, and creator community designed and dedicated to providing its members with the resources, education & opportunities to build sustainable & scalable businesses around their talent.

The project included the construction of several recording studios, podcast rooms, craft space, conference rooms, and a large common recreation area with seating, a full kitchen and stage.

NATIONAL TIRE & BATTERY - MIDDLETOWN

This project consisted of a built-to-suit ground up construction of a 6200 sq ft automotive tire & service center.

The building is primarily divided into 3 distinct areas:

The customer/reception lounge includes the signature ACM panels framing the TV wall, the service bay window and the white acoustical ceilings with 3 LED ring fixtures, while contrasting the black acoustical ceiling at the perimeter of the space.

The service area includes 8 vehicle bays with (1) hunter quick check system, (4) two-post lifts with & without pads, (2) short rise lifts and (1) alignment lift.

The tire rack and merchandise storage area - primarily unfinished.

The coordination of plumbing, electrical, concrete and steel scope of work was crucial to the successful completion of this project.

Budget: 0.9 million

PLANET FITNESS

The (3) projects consisted in the completion of tenant fit-out for National Fitness Partners in multiple locations throughout the Philadelphia area and surrounding counties.

Managing and Coordinating the schedule, logistics, delivery and installation of the Client’s national vendor accounts ex: gym and spa equipment, tv, wall paper, branded accessories etc… was crucial to the successful completion of those gyms.
